We thought that the camera had survived the smoke and was working properly. Since many of the post fire shots had been during cloudy days we didn't consider the 'washy' look to be anything more than the days' atmosphere and lighting. But, with the major use it got over the weekend and a comparrison shot the evidence is clear.
